What I do

I help to make marginalized communities be centered in therapy. I deeply believe systems of power such as racism, ableism, sexism, classism, cissexism, and heterosexism (as well as others) impact our lives and our mental health, and I strive to work with clients to build authentic, empowered lives in spite of these systems. I work from an intersectional feminist, existential, and narrative lens, which means the actual therapeutic work is often client-driven and varied depending on the task/s at hand.

Common focuses in counseling with me include but are not limited to sex therapy, gender therapy, grief and loss, self exploration, and interpersonal concerns.

Who I commonly work with

Though I am open to working with a variety of people, I primarily work with LGBTQIA+, kinky, and/or non-monogamous people. I also love working with older adults and masculine-of-center clients. From a relationship counseling standpoint, I am especially passionate about working with intercultural and interracial relationships, as well as people navigating ENM and kink/BDSM dynamics. Many of my clients have experienced oppression, shame, and othering throughout their lives, and it is my goal to create a shared space where they can be truly valued and seen both through the actual therapeutic relationship and the therapeutic work we do together.

Services I offer

I provide individual and couples/relationship counseling both in-person and virtually for those located in Georgia. Outside of counseling, I am also available for educational workshops centered on sex, gender, and LGBTQIA+ concerns.

This work is often a good fit for people who want:

  • Therapy that centers identity based concerns

  • A counseling space to talk traditionally “taboo” topics with openness and curiosity

  • Ways to explore and improve their sexual, erotic, and/or intimacy lives

  • A balance of emotional exploration and practical tools to implement change

  • Exploration of the big, existential questions of life, death, meaning, and purpose

This might not be the best fit if you are:

  • Younger than 18- I presently only work with adults

  • Needing high acuity and/or crisis-level care

  • Wanting a highly structured, manualized treatment

  • Offended by someone who swears a lot

Logistics:
