What I do
I help neurodivergent queer/LGBTQ/trans adults who want to understand themselves better and to clarify and live into their values. I utilize techniques from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing in helping individuals understand their personal motivations and values, develop healthy relationships, understand and regulate their emotions more effectively, and cope with burnout, disability, or grief and loss.
Who I commonly work with
I often work with queer adults who are (often late-diagnosed) autistic and/or ADHD and may have chronic illnesses/disabilities. I also work with individuals who are diagnosed with, or suspecting, personality disorders, complex PTSD, and substance abuse. I previously worked in forensic and inpatient settings, so am comfortable working with clients with such experiences in their history. Many of my clients struggle to access self-compassion or to implement assertiveness/boundaries in relationships. They may experience burnout, self-injury or self-destructive behavior, and difficulty with self-care. Many are trying to better understand their own needs and how to unmask, accept chronic illness/disability, or otherwise meet their needs in relationship to systems that are not often accessible to people with marginalized identities.
Services I offer
I provide individual therapy for queer neurodivergent adults who are navigating unmasking, coping with chronic illness, burnout, or grief, and/or have challenges in interpersonal relationships and emotion regulation.

This work is often a good fit for people who want:
therapy that may involve building up skills around internal awareness and emotion regulation
to clarify and live in line with their own values
to balance humor with directness and challenges in session
This might not be the best fit if you’re:
currently needing crisis-level care
wanting a formal DBT program
wanting a space to talk about your problems but are not in a space to make changes in your life
uncomfortable with cursing or irreverence
I am a licensed counseling psychologist in Georgia and I work with adults in individual sessions that can be in-person or online. Services are private pay or with Blue Cross/ Blue Shield (BCBS), Aetna, United, Student Resources or Cigna insurances.
