What I do
I help neurodivergent queer people who are tired of living with eating disorders, disordered eating, complex trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder, perfectionism, guilt, and shame.
Who I commonly work with
I often work with queer adults who are autistic/ADHD and/or adults who struggle with black-and-white thinking, perfectionism, guilt, shame, and compulsive behaviors due to a complex trauma history. Many have experienced talk therapy before; however, they have been left defeated due to lack of growth and burnout from living in an ableist, racist, anti-fat, individualistic, and capitalist world that is not meant for them. They frequently struggle with over-control, over-thinking, or over-giving that presents as depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating disorders, disordered eating, or substance use disorders. I also enjoy working with adults with chronic illness or disability to support them in reconnecting with their body.
Services I offer
I provide individual and group therapy for queer neurodivergent adults or adults struggling with an eating disorder in all forms, including compulsive exercising, binge eating, restricting, purging, counting calories, and body dysmorphia. I am an Internal Family Systems (IFS) Level 1 Certified therapist, and I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) at the basic level. I also hold a Body Trust Certification and work from a Health at Every Size (HAES) and Intuitive Eating (IE) framework. Additionally, I am informed in narrative therapy, exposure response therapy (ERT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and somatic therapies. In addition, I lead a group for people with eating disorders that a mix of psycho-education and processing time.

This work is often a good fit for people who want:
Deep trauma work that goes beyond traditional talk therapy
To navigate the complexity of living in an ableist, anti-fat, racist, individualistic, capitalist world
To engage in a balance of deep feeling (embodiment, crying, moving through, processing) and lightheartedness (fun, play, info-dumping, special interests, humor, art, and creativity)
This might not be the best fit if you’re:
interested in traditional talk therapy
not ready to engage in deeper level work, or this is your very first time in therapy, and you are looking for basic coping skills
need a crisis-level of care or a higher level of care for your eating disorder
not interested in vibing with a neurodiverse, abolitionist, silly therapist who loves hula hooping, word searches, talking about animal facts, and being outside
I am a pre-licensed clinical social worker in Georgia under the supervision of Kelly Simonson, Ph.D., and I work with adults in individual and group sessions in-person or online. Individual sessions are private pay, sliding scale, Blue Cross/Blue Shield (BCBS)/ Anthem, Aetna, United Healthcare, Student Resources, or Cigna insurance. We do not accept insurance for groups. I am also contracted with the Project Heal’s Healers Circle to offer pro-bono or sliding scale rates for eating disorder clients. Please contact them to see me at a sliding scale or pro-bono rate.
